Some Simple Bullet Points about my Relationship to GALF
  • My Customer Services Journey started as a teenager in my dad’s builder’s office.   I answered the telephones and made up the labourer’s wages in those little square brown envelopes!
  • At 16 I became a Saturday Girl in British Home Stores Oxford Street.   LOVED IT!!!
  • My first memorable Full-Time job was as a Book Shop Manager in Regent Street, Central London.    LOVED that too!
  • However,  I wanted to go back to my education to improve my career prospects
  • I started with evening classes after work doing English Literature, Woodwork, and Italian
  • As a mature student,  I  went back to full time education completing a BA (Hons) Degree in Business
  • Then back into Customer Services variously as a consultant,  A Trainer, a Recruitments Assessor and A Sales Manager spanning 30 years and  All within the Financial Services Industry
  • I retired from Full Time Working in November 2023
  • This GALF Festival has given me an opportunity to combine several Passion Projects. 
  • To me Africa presents a Colourful, Cultural Creative Explosion 
  • I am in love with the idea of visiting almost ANY part of Africa
  • As a Jamaican, I have a deep Soul Connection with the Continent and feel proud that it is part of my DNA
  • I find The Energy of Dance Intoxicating.  There is a good reason for this.  The List of Health, Well Being and General Longevity Benefits of Dance are impressive.
  • I am now on a mission to spread the Joy and Education of this as Widely as possible.  Especially across the more mature age groups and across all communities
  •  The MOST important Thing to me on this visit is that I am really excited to Welcome you all in person and to help you to have a memorable experience.
